In the next chapter of the master cover up of the bungled sacking of Jamie Chalker, the Minister has gagged the Opposition from asking important questions on this issue, by refusing to take more questions.
Leader of the Opposition, Lia Finocchiaro said “Yesterday we learned that Jamie Chalker’s payout came straight from the police budget, and today extraordinarily the Police Minister said she didn’t know the figure.”
“Incredibly Kate Worden then said she had not been involved in the sacking of the former Police Minister, despite being one of the two Labor Government Ministers, along with the Chief Minister, taken to court by Mr Chalker.”
“If she had nothing to do with it, why would legal action have been brought against her? It doesn’t stack up!”
“When we asked Kate Worden how could she know what her operational budget is if she didn’t know how much had been ripped from it for this payout, we were gagged.”
“This Government will stop at nothing to hide their trail of deceit from Territorians, it is disgraceful.”
