Interim Finocchiaro Ministry sworn in

Media Release from Chief Minister Lia Finocchiaro MLA:

Lia Finocchiaro has today been sworn in the 14th Chief Minister of the Northern Territory and alongside Deputy Chief Minister Gerard Maley will form an interim ministry.

“It is an honour and a privilege to be the new Chief Minister. This morning the interim ministry was sworn in, to give full confidence to the Territory to continue with the business of government,” Mrs Finocchiaro said.

“The full ministry and machinery of government changes will be announced very soon.

“The CLP has been given a mandate to deliver change for all Territorians and we look forward to deliver this change to make a better Territory for everyone.

“Law and order is the community’s first priority and we are on track to deliver our promised reforms in the first week of Parliament.

“Economic growth must happen for the future of the Territory and will be a key focus of the CLP Government.

“Territorians voted for change for the better and our work has begun to move the Territory forward, to deal with the root issues of crime, grow the economy and restore our unique Territory lifestyle.”
