The Country Liberal Party is looking to build on its success and strengthen its team that will defeat Labor at the 2024 election and ensure a safer, stronger Territory.
In calling for Expressions of Interest for CLP preselection, President Sean Heenan said “If you’re disappointed by Labor’s continual cover ups and destructive policies, and believe in having safer streets, a strong economy and rebuilding the Territory’s reputation, then come and join the CLP team.
“We are seeking strong community advocates who will hit the ground running."
“By seeking Expressions of Interest for preselection now, the CLP will have candidates on the ground one year out from the election."
“Help us make sure every Territorian knows the only way to save the Territory is to change the government.”
“The new candidates will join our seven-strong parliamentary team led by Leader Lia Finocchiaro and newly preselected candidate Kris Civitarese, for the electorate of Daly."
“The CLP encourages all passionate Territorians who want to build a safer, stronger Territory to lodge their EOI to join our team” said Mr Heenan.
CLP Parliamentary Leader Lia Finocchiaro welcomed the move.
“The CLP is serious about taking a strong team to the next election and to do that, we are ensuring our newly preselected candidates are on the ground so they can continue to connect with their communities under the CLP flag” said Mrs Finocchiaro.
“The CLP’s plan is clear. We will fix crime, rebuild the Territory’s reputation and get our economy moving.”
