A proud Territorian, Matthew grew up on a rural property in Batchelor before moving to Darwin to study at Charles Darwin University. Matthew and his wife Olia now live here in Rosebery where they are raising their three young boys.
Having studied here and grown his career here in software development, Matthew is passionate about fostering more home grown talent by creating better career pathways for Territorians.
As well as secure local jobs, Matthew wants his kids to be able to continue to enjoy our unique Territory lifestyle. Matthew’s family are passionate Palmerston Raiders fans and he enjoys volunteering at the club.
Being raised by his mum, a teacher, and his Dad a farmer, Matthew knows the value of hard work. He knows how important it is that families who work hard are supported, by lower cost of living and a safe community.
“Raising my young family here I want them to grow up safe and with every opportunity. Sadly here in Palmerston, life is getting harder and harder.
For businesses to thrive, families to get ahead and our economy to grow we must first deliver community safety. That’s why I am running as your local CLP candidate, because with your support we can strengthen the laws, empower our police, tackle cost of living and move our economy forwards.”
